This is a chance to enjoy England’s festive traditions with the details already arranged. Spend an evening following a glowing garden trail, linger over afternoon tea in Bath, then stay overnight at Leeds Castle with access to the estate after day visitors have left.
Travel solo, as a couple or with friends. Bryce can bring the tour, flights and extra stays together, and help choose a river cruise if you would like to make more of the journey.

A note on Christmas markets: these are Viking’s regular November itineraries, Rhine Getaway and Romantic Danube. Viking’s dedicated Christmas-market departures start too late to meet this connection. Market visits on these earlier sailings depend on confirmed 2027 opening dates and time in port.

Basel to Amsterdam · 18–25 November 2027

Explore the Rhine before your England tour, sailing north from Basel to Amsterdam. Disembark on 25 November and spend a night in Amsterdam.
Take Eurostar from Amsterdam to London, suggested for 26 November. Enjoy time in London, then transfer to Windsor ahead of the tour’s start on 29 November.

OPTION 2 · DANUBE & PRAGUE
Budapest to Regensburg · 18–25 November 2027

Begin in Budapest, sail the Danube via Vienna and finish in Regensburg on 25 November.
Continue to Prague for three nights, 25–28 November, with time for the old town and Charles Bridge. Fly to London on 28 November, then transfer to Windsor for the England tour starting 29 November.
A Prague stay and transfers can be arranged around the cruise. This is the Romantic Danube itinerary; 2027 Christmas-market openings and visits require confirmation.
Viking includes onboard meals, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, an included shore excursion in each port and onboard gratuities. Optional excursions cost extra.
Both cruises finish before 26 November 2027. Extra nights, rail, flights and transfers bridge the journey to Windsor for 29 November.

Settle into Windsor, visit Hampton Court Palace and enjoy Christmas at Kew. Visit Windsor Castle before travelling to Oxford.
Explore Oxford and experience Blenheim Palace’s Christmas lights, then continue through the Cotswolds to Bath.
Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, Pump Room afternoon tea and a visit to Wells.
Travel via Royal Tunbridge Wells for your castle overnight.
Continue via Greenwich, enjoy London and a festive farewell dinner. Tour ends after breakfast on 10 December.

The light trails and sightseeing involve walking, including trails of around 2–3 km. A good level of mobility is required.
The England tour finishes on 10 December, well before Christmas Day. The Christmas dinner is a festive tour farewell.
