8 Wired Brewing.
Soren Eriksen is an icon in the beer scene, NZ and Worldwide. Flavoursome innovative beers from hyper hoppy IPAs, Saisons, Porters and Stouts, then the barrel aging programme! ALWAYS reinventing, your tastebuds will awaken. Noted on prestigious Ratebeer.com list of “100 Best Brewers in the World”, as the only Southern Hemisphere brewery. Kudos

Bohemian Cidery.
Made from wild fermentations with Organic Apples including the skins and pulp – like a good red wine. Their natural cider making philosophy has no filtration or added sulphites. Look out for the Tamarillo Cider with Amarillo Beer hops! Their ciders have won awards and trophies, chief cider maker Justin Oliver is head judge on the New World supermarkets panel.

Action Matakana.
Fancy your skill in the Military Arts? You will be taught the technique of axe hurling from qualified instructors, then it’s time to try your hand for real ‘actively supervised’ of course! A bit of friendly competition is to be had and we’ll see who comes out on top. Note: this activity operates under very robust Health and Safety Policy and within strict guidelines.

Sawmill Brewery.
Late 2019 a devastating fire destroyed this Matakana icon. The beer industry rallied to their support, they are BACK! The menu has a focus on sustainable produce, lots of local & often foraged ingredients. The dishes change a lot, along with the seasons, using their own smoker for meat, fish and veggies. It’s real, honest food, full of flavour designed to pass around. Enjoy!

Hallertau Brewery & Biergarten.
~ hopping good times. An Auckland institution for many years – these guys both keep it simple, numbering beers 1- 10, then really push the boundaries with things such a seasonal sour made with chardonnay barrels from the vineyard down the road … or Quentin Tarantino asks for a one off to be made for a movie. YES QT!

Travel from Auckland central on luxury coach with an optional Albany collection, we start the day in an entertaining way - axe hurling! Then it's off to legendary 8 Wired Brewery in Matakana for a tutored tasting platter of their exquisite craft beer - 2nd of August is specifically a DARK BEER FEST, lunch, and then tutored tastings of the Bohemian Organic Cider range. We allow time to get along to the Matakana Market if you want. We then travel to either Hallertau in Riverhead or Sawmill Brewery for a sampling of their core range, and second lunch or dinner. Finally the coach home James!
